Welcome to my *little* corner on the internet!

Hi, I'm Anam Nasim!

My journey began studying the architectural landscapes of New Delhi as an architecture student at the School of Planning and Architecture and led me to Purdue University, where I honed my skills in human-centered design as a Graduate Student in the Department of Computer Graphics Technology. As a budding Designer, I've nurtured a knack for transforming user needs into digital solutions, evident in my roles at 'How About That!' and 'Cognizant'.

Beyond the screen, I'm a CATAN, UNO and Kakuro enthusiast, a Dungeons & Dragons adventurer, and a die-hard fan of K-dramas and K-pop. You'll often find me savoring the superior classic Taro Milk Bubble Tea or channeling my inner spirit animal, Anya from "Spy x Family". In my downtime, I express myself through sketches and find delight in making mouth-watering biryani, chicken dumplings and my all time favorite - Kimchi Cheese Omlette!

My approach blends empathy with a touch of creativity, aiming to design experiences that resonate and connect. Let's embark on this design journey together, where every pixel built tells a story and every interface creates a bond. 🧩

My Design Process

The dive into the deep 🏊🏽‍♀️

I start my adventure with a deep dive into the world of background studies. My journey for knowledge is two-fold: primary research to get fresh data right from the source (hello, lovely participants!), and secondary research to see what the scholarly world thinks. I pore over articles, papers, and any material I can find to understand the intricate details of my problem space.

Researching my way 🔬

I prioritize a mix of research methods to support informed design decisions. Conducting interviews, surveys, and usability tests with research participants provides a rich understanding of user needs. I take all my gathered data, spread it out like a giant jigsaw puzzle, and start piecing together the big picture. It's intense, it's challenging, but oh, it's so rewarding! This helps me back every design decision I make, without a sweat!

Question everything❓

With a clear strategic direction, I create sketches and visual boards to translate insights into tangible design concepts. Prototyping helps me bring these concepts to life, making them easier to test and refine. Through usability testing, peer critiques, and stakeholder reviews, I gather questions and comments that spark deeper insights, using each critique as a stepping stone toward refining the design.
